Forum Project: THE PROTAGONIST DECKS!
Okay, I don't know about you guys, but I LOOOOVE Character Duels.
And so, I made a Yugi Deck, and tried to make it as good as I could in the time given.
So far it has only lost once, so I'm thinking It's fairly good so far.
anyway, I want others to contribute, as well as one of you (or some of you) to make a Deck for other characters. Kaiba, Joey, Marik, Bakura etc...
The only rule is that it needs to only use cards that character has used (if you want to know what those are, Wiki is your friend).
Some cards can be used which have similar effects to a card the character used.
(E.G. I put in Call of the Haunted as a substitute for Dark Renewel)
Btw, you may use Kaibaman's Cards for Kaiba's Deck.
Here is the Yugi Deck I have ATM. I am not sure if I want to keep using Berfomet, Gazelle, Polymerization and Chimera, but I am keeping them in ATM.
( I might swap them for Gorz, Card Destruction, Brain Control, or some other nice stuff.)
LET'S DO THIS, AND MAKE THE BEST CHARACTER DECKS EVER!

For anyone confused, this is the [Yugi] deck currently. (Ignore the side deck)

here is my poor attempt at a kaiba deck. (for some reason, yugi was much easier for me to make)

I think a bigger challenge would be to make a character deck with none of the banned cards, since I see some forbidden cards in these decks.

OR, we make 2 decks, one Traditional and one Advanced.CamilleNicole wrote:I think a bigger challenge would be to make a character deck with none of the banned cards, since I see some forbidden cards in these decks.

After thinking about it, it sounds awesome.Koalaman108 wrote:OR, we make 2 decks, one Traditional and one Advanced.CamilleNicole wrote:I think a bigger challenge would be to make a character deck with none of the banned cards, since I see some forbidden cards in these decks.
My traditional one I made very spellcaster based, since DMoC is easily summoned with Magical Dimension or Dedication through light and darkness, allowing for quicker victories. However, if we were to make an advanced deck, that isnt as fast, i think we should attempt to use Yugi's combo cards, such as King's and Queen's Knight (and the fusion monster), as well as his other fusions.
Dark Paladin
Chimera the Flying Mythical Beast
Arcana Knight Joker

it certainly can be worth it with the right card combination, but you must keep in mind that characters decks aren't meant to be good

Well, they are meant to be good when faced against other character decks.
I feel that Return from the Different Dimension is meant to be a card to end the game, and therefore we must have methods of setting up for it

Re: Forum Project: THE PROTAGONIST DECKS!
Joey Deck
cards that replace unreleased cards
Sixth Sense > Roll of Fate
Roll of Fate: Roll a six-sided die. Draw cards equal to the result, then send an equal number of cards from the top of your Deck to the Graveyard.
Sixth Sense: Declare two numbers from 1 to 6. Your opponent rolls 1 six-sided die. If the die result is either of the two declared numbers, draw that number of cards. If not, send cards from the top of your Deck to the Graveyard equal to the die result.
Heartfelt Appeal > Double Magical Arm Bind
Double Magical Arm Bind: Tribute 2 monsters and select 2 monsters your opponent controls. Take control of the selected monsters. Those monsters cannot attack or change their battle positions.
Heartfelt Appeal: When you take Battle Damage from your opponent's direct attack: Take control of the 1 face-up monster your opponent controls with the highest DEF, until your next End Phase. (If it's a tie, you get to choose.) Its effects are negated, also it cannot declare an attack.
Hero Ring > Silver Dollar
Silver Dollar: Activate only when an opponent's monster attacks a face-up monster you control with 1000 or less ATK. Your monster cannot be destroyed by this battle, and you take no Battle Damage from this battle.
Hero Ring: Target 1 Warrior-Type monster with an 1500 or less ATK; equip this card to that target. Monsters your opponent controls with 1900 or more ATK cannot attack that target.
Dice Re-Roll > Probability Change
Probability Change: Once this turn, you can re-toss a coin, re-roll a die, or repeat the random selection of a card.
Dice Re-Roll: Once this turn, negate 1 six-sided die roll and re-roll it.

You ask for help but, there is not much I can think of but, you said you wanted this deck competitive against other character decks so, why is Time Wizard not in the main, he's so good when he works!
